Memory Seat

Featured Replies

The driver memory seat function is inconsistent sometimes set to the key used sometimes doesn't very irritating. My Skoda dealer said there was no fault code found. Anyone had the problem and/or had it resolved?

Forgot to ask if anyone had a resolution

I did have a problem with the buttons working inconsistently.

Turns out a small soft drink spill was the cause.

I removed the switch, disassembled and washed in hot soapy water, works fine again.

In my case it's the key fob that becomes confused. Mercifully the buttons operate consistently so can use them to reset seat. This 'feature' came with the car from new. Previous Skoda operated perfectly - so I know it can work

On mine - the easy in/out sometimes doesn't work. Every now and then - it would not move forward after I walk in, close the door and start.

Got used to it and I am just pressing the button when this happens.

We too press the button. My irritation is that I paid for this option and it hasn't worked correctly since new, whereas same feature on previous car worked perfectly for several years.

After our Yeti developed this same fault and the dealers tried to rectify it 3 times I did it myself!:

Move seat as far forward as it will go, then as high as it will go, finally move the backrest as far forward as it will go, this resets the seat ready for you to input you 3 saved settings.

Touch wood the memory seat is still working perfectly now.

Ive tried up, forward and over on driver's seat. It didn't wipe out settings.
