Citigo Driver seat uncomfortable

Featured Replies

Hi  I bought a used 2015 citigo in April 2018. The car behaves well but I cannot get comfortable in the drivers seat. This has only become apparent after owning and driving car a while. I'd like to keep car but need to be comfortable and would like advice.

I'm 5ft 10in tall and slight build. Main problems I've had are aching hips and knees which I believe are due to the bucket seat pressing on my hips. I have temporarily put a blanket in the dip and this seems to alleviate problem. However this sits me higher in the seat and I get neck ache because I cannot straighten neck enough against head-rest. I did not get these problems with my previous cars.  Does anyone have these problems and have solutions? Possibly a recommended cushion and backrest - ideally one that I could try before buying.

[PS I asked this to Skoda customer relations but got no useful advice 'discussed your query with our Technical Support Team and unfortunately, there is no alternative to the seat.']

Can you help?  Thanks

On My second Citigo now and have had no comfort problems concerning the front seat on either car (Sport and Colour Edition).Sorry cannot help you there.

Neither myself nor OH have any problems with the seat position/comfort...in fact, I really like the seats!

I find Citigo seats adequate, as the car is not really built for long journeys, though it can serve for that purpose. I have similar frame as you. On a Citigo you can slide seat front-back, decline-recline and on most trims also raise and lower. You can experiment until you find what suits you.

I think you might be sitting too much leaned backwards. Head-rest is a deceptive name, you shouldn't really be resting your head against it, it's actually there to prevent whiplash if someone bumps you from behind. Head should stay free in upward position.
