my new Superb estate is due any time now, it will have the factory towbar. how do you connect the breakaway cable and do you need the karabiner type. the caravan is in for a service next week so can get it done then if I need one.

Some people simply drop a loop of the breakaway cable over the towball which is not ideal as if the caravan comes loose from the towball the breakaway cable may also jump over the ball. My removable Witter bar has a small ring near where the bar attaches to the caravan which is designed to take the end of the breakaway cable. You may need to wait until you get the car to see what is fitted.
