VRS 245 Personal Lease Prices now appearing - from £217.50pm inclusive of VAT

Featured Replies

For anyone interested, personal lease prices are beginning to appear for the VRS 245.

Simpsons Skoda are quoting £1790 deposit and then 23 payments of £249 for a Manual 245 hatch. The DSG version costs £269 pm with same deposit.

Target Car Leasing quote £1,957.50 initial payment plus 23x £217.50 for the Manual hatch, and £2,119.32 initial payment plus 23x £235.48 for DSG

*All prices include VAT and 10,000 mile annual mileage. Estate lease prices are currently unavailable, but expect £20-£30pm premium over the hatch.

Seems pretty good for a sporty hatch.

Yeah, thats pretty good but, with my 3 grand of options & smaller deposit I'm gonna be paying 33 quid a month more for being on a PCP.

However, its a shorter period so, I'd have to pay another half the options again (£62.5 p.m.) makes it more than the PCP for me & the PCP can always be VT'd or brought at the end.

Horses for courses I suppose but, for a standard car on a short term fixed deal its, worth considering.

What deposit did you put down on the PCP? As you say, PCP provides you with pleny of future options. Lease is generally cheaper but you only have one option - hand the car back at the end of term. My old VRS TSI was on PCP - £2K down plus £300pm. I thought that was a good deal 3-years ago.

I pay £375 per month on a Golf R Estate (DSG) (300bhp version), that was zero initial payment and includes maintenance. The DSG Octavia (also not an estate) above comes out amortised at £332 and doesn't include maintenance.

I still would choose the Golf over that.

The Golf R Estate is a great choice unless you regularly transport four six-footers. Unfortunately my kids are almost as big as me (6ft 4"), and only one of them has turned 16. I personally would have opted for a 335d xdrive touring, but they suffer the same cramped rear as the Golf. I will probably keep my VRS for a bit longer before buying something non-VAG. I like the VRS, but vowed never to buy another VAG car due to crap service.

Superb 280 4x4 & give Skoda another chance / find a new dealer?

There was a period of pretty impressive deals on the Golf R but these are long gone now aren't they?

Great news if you are after a used three-year-old Golf R though!

They are still holding their value pretty well though, aren't they?

Surprisingly so, yes. But there are a lot out there, so I'm sure the market will ultimately favour the buyer.
