Well, Thursday is new bike day.

 

Went to a local dealer to look at a Bergman 400 which i found out they had sold but not taken off the website to see a BMW F650cs there.

 

Ideal for me, 650cc, 50hp and a belt drive so should be perfect for year round commuting.

 

come with a load of invoices and receipts including one for new belt drive 3 weeks ago!

 

Wasnt expecting some of the insurance quotes for it, £1300 quotes for a multibike policy for that and my scooter. In the end i have had to get a new policy with zero NCB for £550 with 4000 miles a year on it.

 

Collection thursday night, have to get the hang of filtering with gears now!

Needs pics when you collect it. As you're in the North Easy I hope you take advantage of the great roads round there and if you end up in Whitby on Saturday I'll buy the ice creams

 

Delkavic slip on exhaust now on the R3 and clearly the "CAT" is ruling the exhaust flow and nothing is going to happen until I take that off.

 

Looks very nice, much more grown up than the stubby little almost side cut zaust that is the OE item.

 

Delkavic say the headers and decat pipe do not need a remap and maybe it would be as before but I expect a remap would help the horses if not the fuel consumption.

 

Tail tidy still to do and the re-gearing.  No WSS 300 at Laguna, or 600s so can spend the weekend working on the R3 I guess when not riding or hols etc.

How are you getting on now with using gears?
