Clutch and CC1

Featured Replies

Was wondering how peeps who have CC1 remap have found it and especially how there clutch is doing any slip? Also has anyone put CC1 car on the rollers yet? I'm very tempted but don't want to have to fork out for a new clutch as well!

Any map which has a greater amount of torque than the clutch can handle will cause it to wear more quickly.

You can have the power and adapt your driving style to suit the peak power and be kind to your clutch - often known as 'driving around it'.

Plenty of figures about for CC1 cars, try the search.

Yeh i've read all the previous posts I meant the new version of cc1 (I think it has recently been improved?) sorry forgot to mention that!

I've got CC1 and the engine is kicking out 317lb/ft on JBS's rollers - not a hint of clutch slip in 15k miles....

Thats impressive there is a lot to say for a smooth remap a lot cheaper in the long term if it doesent shag the clutch so fast!

Whilst delivering it smoothly will help, a large amount of torque is still going to wear the clutch - doesn't matter what version of software!! :P

I know nothing about clutch wear (yet!) - but you asked for opinions on CC - I love mine! turbo spools up earlier, more torque, more power - basically the car is transformed

I must admit you do hear good things

Sarah has also just announced that CC are the approved supplier for the Police Remaps - the ones they dont have!!
