These dents are below all 4 doors and seem to be on all Fabias. What's the purpose?

Tells you where the jacking points are

 

But not actually there, the jacking points are on the sill further underneath the car.

 

Had someone yesterday that 'looked up on Youtube' on how to change a wheel/tyre.

He ended up using the marked point and dented the girlfriends car.

They were still talking.:o

Yeah, I think it's even one of the bits they proof-read (and hasn't been copied verbatim from every other VAG manual for the past 20 years).
