Cleaning Octy Mk1 Vrs Seats HELP!!

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have recently bought MK1 Vrs seats for my Octavia, (half black leather, half white fabric) second hand and dirt cheap. They are in mint condition but they needed a clean. I started off using Auto Glym interior shampoo for the inner white sections. The results were surprisingly good but they still needed something extra. I then went on to use washing powder, water and alot of elbow grease. This works so so well. I was delighted with the results and left them to dry. The next day to my horror the dirt was back, even in places it wasnt in the beginning. Its not even water marks which I could understand its just dirt. I have scrubbed the sets for a second time today, the dirt appears to come out straight away, but I will have to wait until they are dry to see what way they turn out. Has anyone had this problem? Is this just inner dirt and grim rising to the surface and eventually as I continue to clean it will sort itself out? Any advice would be much appreciated here?

Thanks :)

A steamer has worked well for me in the past.

Or find someone with a proper extraction vac like a Karcher Puzzi locally that will clean the seats up for some beer tokens.

cheers

Chris
