1.8 tsi injectors

Featured Replies

Is there any easy way or online manual to get injector off. Ive had a misfire for a while. Ive done the swapping/renewing coil pack & plugs. Now going to swap injector to try that. Other than that its wiring i think. Any help appreciated

compression test first ?

All ok wet n dry

You might get lucky and they'll pull out by hand but better to be prepared and buy an injector puller kit off ebay.  You'll need seal kits for the injectors you remove.

You need to remove the inlet manifold to access the injectors.  I'd clean the inlets while you have the inlet manifold off.

If you are not experienced, this might be real challenge for you on this EA888 family engine ...

Online manual here

Yes, the inlet valves might be covered with a lot of carbon and oil residuals, this can lead to misfires too.

Besides of that, what year is your engine? I guess engine code CDAA, right? Do you have any issue with oil consumption?

Here is some info, what can this be about too

Its a 2010 cdaa engine. Ive used petrol conditioning straight into the fuel tank. Its not running that bad at the moment but i know its still there.

Thanks for the online manual. Ive looked everywhere for a skoda manual & all i get is diesel or mk1 manuals.

Thanks loads will consider having a go

No amount of fuel cleaner will help the inlets as it direct injects into the cylinder, thus bipassing the valves.
