The Spaceback is an old tech parts bin special, made of bits of Golf mark 4 and 10 year old Polo's amongst others.

I drive the mechanically identical SEAT Toledo.  It's completely inoffensive to drive at slow/medium speeds, but the handling isn't sporty in the least. Also the ride is not to everyone's taste. The low tech rear suspension is jiggly over the bumps, although nowhere near as bad as the notorious 2012/13 Rapids.  A major suspension and steering upgrade was rolled out on the Spaceback, and this did improve things somewhat. If the car you look at has 17's on, the 40 profile sidewalls make the ride worse, and some of the OEM tyre options (Dunlop Sport Maxx) are very noisy too.

Honestly I expect it would be disappointing compared to a Fab 3, or indeed a Fab 2.

I have an Ibiza as well (mechanically the same as a Fab 2) and that handles and rides much nicer than the Toledo / Rapid .
