Any idea what the code would be if it was built with the camera?

Put your codes in here and see what was fitted from the factory. It's easier for you to do this that us to search all the possibilities of various codes etc. and try to find the relevant one.

Thanks.

Damn! I did it! LOL!

Nothing like this?

Most definitely not. Just had the spare wheel out too...nothing! I think my car is a bit of a mystery one. Probably a 'ringer'. Nothing about it seems to be 'normal'.

Hmm, can't think of anything else, other than giving the VIN to Skoda Spain (is there even such a thing?) and asking them for any assistance.

I think the best thing I can do is take it to an auto-electrician and if he confirms that it's the reversing camera that's draining the battery he can disconnect it, or perhaps do something like put an isolator switch on it so that I can disconnect it when the car is left for a week and switch it back on for normal daily use.

I must say that I've had my fill of Skoda Spain. They have been as helpful as an ashtray on a motorbike. Just not interested.

Thanks anyway bro.

You can download the full car data (every PR code, not just the subset that is on the boot sticker) by inputting your VIN into erWin Skoda (and spending 7 Euros + Tax for an hour's access after you've registered).

This is what the sticker should look like.
Or in your service/owners manual

I don't have a service/owners manual. The buying of the car was all very complicated...and I'm beginning to think...a little underhand.

The story (shortened) for those interested is...

My friend owns a SEAT dealership. I told him that I was interested in a YETI and he said that he would ask around the Skoda dealers. He found one in a Skoda dealer nearby and I bought it - through my friends SEAT dealership. Shortly after, after it had been parked for 6 days, the battery was flat, the glove compartment kept falling open and the paint started to peel off the room.  I took it back to the Skoda dealer and they put the battery on test, said that there was nothing wrong with the battery. After several more flat batteries, I took it back and after several more test they concluded that it was the reversing camera that was draining the battery.

I told them that I wanted that fault, the paint and the glove box repaired under warranty. They told me they would need to have the car for three days to do the repairs under the warranty but that they would not supply a courtesy car whilst mine was being repaired. I contacted Skoda Spain and they told me to take the car for repair and, when I arrived at the garage, to tell the garage to phone them and they (Skoda) would arrange a courtesy car for me.

I duly booked the car in for repair, arrived at the garage and told them to phone Skoda regarding a courtesy car. This they did and then told me that Skoda had said they were not going to supply a courtesy car...because they had been informed by the garage that the car had been first registered as a demonstration car. I was now stuck with no transport whilst mine was being repaired so I had to hire a car at a cost of €200 for three days.

After three days they called my to say that the car was ready so off I went in reasonably high spirits thinking that at least the jobs had been done. I was of course wrong. All they had done in three days was - repair the glove-box. So it cost me €200 (car hire) to repair the glove-box, a problem I could have solved by sticking a piece of paper in it to keep it shut...but worse...they hadn't done the peeling paint on the roof or the battery draining fault because  - THEY had first registered the car with themselves for demonstration purposes and as such, most of the warranty was void. Skoda Spain seem to agree with them, or at least are not the least bit interested in sorting out the problems.

So I've now got a 2015 car with paint peeling of the roof and I have to carry a spare battery and jump leads if I leave it for more than a few days. Needless to say, Skoda are not my flavour of the month.

Obvously different rules in Spain, but here in the UK, if you buy an ex-demo model or an ex-Skoda management car you get the remains of the warranty transferred automatically to the new owner. Both of my Yeti's have been in those catagories. In your shoes I would consider writing/emailing Skoda in CZ asking for their views.

Yes. I think that might be an idea if only to get it off my chest but at the moment I'm sick to the back teeth of Skoda and just want to get the jobs done, even if I have to pay for them myself... and have nothing more to do with Skoda for as long as I live.
