The other evening I started up my '02 TDI elegance combi. All seemed fine - lights, aircon, indicators OK.

After a couple of minutes I decided to put S/R in tilt - nothing happened. Then tried lowering the windows - nothing happened.

 

Arrived @ destination, turned off & restarted : S/R & windows now working

 

Should I ignore this as a one off glitch or is it a portent of nasties to come ?

Car has long standing intermittent issue with driver door microswitch and aircon flap position motor.

Seem to recall this was discussed before.....

 

 

I THINK that this is the same unit that controls windows / sunroof.
