Sportline smart holder ?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

I picked up my Sportline today, really happy so far I have to say ! however I would like to know if anybody has got the multi media holder for the armrest on the back seat ? I know it can't be fitted to the headrest but surely it will still fit the armrest?

Thanks in advance

The little square in between the rear armrest cupholders is for the media holder. It's annoying that you can't fit two, but never mind.

Cheers Roo, I only need one so that's ok, from what I can see it comes in two parts, obviously the head rest part won't fit as the Sportline has no moveable headrest, but I just wanted to confirm that part no. 3V0 061 129 will still work in the armrest

If that's the attachment bit, then yes, it should just slot in.  I'm in the same boat with my sportline on order. As I have two children I would rather have two holders, but as there is only one slot, I won't buy one to save on arguments.

The fitting of the part is all in the manual as well.

Thanks Maddiclrl,

I had seen the holder on superskoda.com but it's nice to have it confirmed.

Hi guys,

Picking up my Sportline Combi in a week or two, and we've bought the kids Amazon Kindle Fire's for Christmas presents, so that they can use them on long journeys etc.

Been looking at mounts for the car, and I'm struggling to find one that will work with the Sports seats, due to the integrated headrests.

I've thought about using a glass mounted one, and sticking it to the rear door windows..... The only downside I can see, is that the window can't be put down whilst the mount is attached......

Has anyone found a workable solution for two mounts?

One child is on a booster seat, so the armreast mount would work ok, but the youngest is only 3 and in a proper car-seat, so I think the armrest option wouldn't be viewable from the seat.

Cheers,

Andy

Hi @andyj2, I'm not recommending this as a solutions as I haven't tried it myself so just a suggestion. There are many phone holders out there that have a suction cup (or similar) on one end and a magnet on the other, you normally attach another magnet to the phone. The suction cup will not reliably stick to the seat so my suggestion is stick the magnet to the seat (normally attached to the phone) and the suction cup to the Kindle. Not ideal I know but if well placed the magnet (normally blackish) may not look too out of place when not in use.

Would Velcro straps work?

I've seen a couple of tablet holders that are designed with velcro type straps, for integrated headrests, but I'm not sure how well they will work with the Sportline seats, as the side a sloped.

Think I'm going to have to get one, and see how well it works... or not!

Like this one.....

Hi guys

bumping an old thread but I will be collecting our sportsline in about 2 weeks time and will need to fix my little boys DVD player to the headrest somehow as anyone tried one of the mounts from amazon

I went for these in the end......

https://www.amazon.co.uk/TFY-Headrest-Version-Fast-Attach-Fast-Release-Black/dp/B01AHG10RI/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1518425860&sr=8-4&keywords=velcro+tablet+headrest

They're product/tablet specific, as they have a case that fits the tablet which has velcro on the back, this then sticks to the velcro on the elastic strap that wraps around the headrest.

The only minor problem is that due to the huge amount of legroom in the Superb, the kids can't reach the tablet when it's attached!!! Mind you, this can also be seen as a good thing!

My brief play around with the Media Command functionality (free version), you can control which files to play on the tablet from the infotainment system which may be a handy function in your situation.
