Rubber Boot Liner

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Looking at purchasing a rubber boot liner for my Octavia, cost around £50 from Skoda.

Seen many non-genuine ones online for less than £20 but wondered what they are like in comparison?

Thanks

The genuine one is worth the money imo. Not cheap but very good. No experience of any of the cheaper ones for comparison.

Bought mine on ebay 2.5 years ago.  Does the job well and fits like a glove. If I remember it was about 50% less than the Skoda one.

I've got the superskoda vRS branded one. Decent enough, I think it was 40 quid.

Had a few of the tailored eBay ones in various car's over the years and all have been absolutely fine.

Just bought one for our upcoming new Octavia and it was on sale and under £16 delivered!

Sounds great. Do you have a link?

Wouldn't know how to do a link I'm afraid, but the item number is

371679640767.

I paid£15.59 last week but I see it's gone up to £17.79 now but is still on sale until tomorrow morning (10+ hour's at the time of replying). It's only just over £20 even at full price though.

I haven't used this company before from memory and haven't opened it yet as our car doesn't arrive until November, but it arrived when it said it would and it's no money anyway.

Got this for my Scout, but the mat didn't fit that well. Despite being described as being suitable for an Octavia estate, the label on the mat and packaging said it was for an Octavia Liftback (in other words, a Saloon).

P****d off about that if mines the same, I will have to have a look tomorrow as it's in the loft with my car not being due until November, and if it says the same it will be returned!

The last couple of weeks I have had nothing but problems with stuff from eBay and it's bloody infuriating .

Can only say the genuine ones are good, my own was in my mark 2, roughly fitted in my Superb estate and is now in my mark 3. Granted it isn't a perfect fit, but I have had my money's worth. No signs of wearing out and keeps the boot floor clean and tidy. So a vote for the genuine accessory.

Fair enough, but if sellers are advertising something as "fitted" that's what it should do.

I've never had a problem with the quality of these types of items before, they're made from the same sort of materials at the end of the day.

I've ended up getting a new OEM mat from Superskoda along with a bumper protector (nigh on impossible to find one that suits a 2017 facelift Octavia Scout). Have also gone for a hatchbag!

Skoda don't do a bumper protector for the Octavia 2017 F/L. I contacted Rearguards who have just brought one out, although they are not planning one for the VRS (missing a trick there).

Someone may say different but I cannot imagine the Pre and Post Facelift cars have different shaped boots as they are both based on the same MQB platform?

Also, unless you specifically wanted VRS stamped on it, they are the same as other spec levels.

Boot size is the same, was talking about bumper protector.

took mine out of my old superb. Almost fits perfectly

Have today received my OEM bootliner and aftermarket bumper protector from SuperSkoda. The mat is certainly worth considering as it's pretty hefty and heavy duty. The bumper protector certainly looks the part. Have also installed a hatchbag.

It's the grey lining you can see in the boot. Got it from www.hatchbag.co.uk. Not cheap, but completely covers the  boot so perfect for muddy dogs! Only downside is no cutouts for the lashing points or 12v socket. Has built in cutouts for the boot lights and can be specced for whatever config of side pockets/canton sub woofer you might have.
