Skoda octavia 2011 engine light flashing EPC light on

Featured Replies

Hi,

This is my first form so apologies if problem is not clear.

I have a 2011 Skoda Octavia 1.8 tsi l&k, car has done around 66k not been serviced from 44k (don't ask why).

So the problem started where the car began to jerk engine light came on after a while engine light starts flashing with EPS light. Local garage advised its the coil pack and needs new spark plugs. After around 60miles same problem again. Took it back to the same garage he pulls out the spark plug from cylinder 4 to see its covered with oil. I was told because the car hasn't been serviced the old spark plug was in a real bad state and that I need a new engine. Is this it then? New engine? No other options? Thanks for any feedback.

Welcome to the Forum.

You had best have a read of the pinned thread at the top of this forum in the TSI engine issues / failures,

and someone will be along with advice hopefully.
