Paint code LF7Y F6F6

Featured Replies

Hiya can anyone tell me what the actual colour name is for code LF7Y F6F6

Reason I ask is mine is Quartz Grey and I had a repair done to my bumper..

The guys used the code in the boot and it came back with Seda metal

I found it here

http://paintref.com/cgi-bin/colorcodedisplay.cgi?code=LF7Y&manuf=Skoda&rows=50

The repair is great BTW and I cannot fault it and from the straight on the paint looks the same.

However in the sunlight it gives offer a distinct red hue in what I guess is the pearl'  / metallic flake paint used.

I'll try get some pics when it's not raining...

I had some further repair work done due to someone driving into the back if me and the bumper was repainted and that was an exact match..

Any thoughts?

F6F6 / Metal Grey on the Dealers Display Colour Blobs,  & LF7Y / Seda Grey,  same thing.

Hiya All

Here are some pictures that I took today

So in truth this was totally my fault....I was lost and pulled into a cul-de-sac down in Somerset and reversed up to a wall...not knowing there was a small post stuck out 1 or so feet from the wall.

The parking senors didnt pick it up as it they were more focused on the huge solid stone wall...

Needless to say there was quite a lot of swearing involved afterwards.

As we can see the repair job they have done is fantastic and you cannot tell it was there....but I hope you can also see the red hue that is given off....it proved quite difficult to capture.

All The Best

F6F6 is the interior/upholstery colour.

These feint hues in metallic paint are very hard to photograph. You've done well to capture what you're seeing. In my humble opinion, I think you're seeing a reflection of the tarmac beneath the bumper. Try it on a different surface or from further away.

That said, getting an exact match in metallic is much harder, I seem to recall, than with solid colours - all to do with the angle of spraying and the precise mixing of the paint apparently

I had a repair done to the bonnet of my X6 after an incontinent seagull damaged it before delivery.  In daylight you cannot see the repair but the infra red source on our CCTV cameras shows it up as a patch simply due to the metallic particles being aligned differently.
