Further to my recent post. Has anyone had a go  at replacing the brake switch on a Roomster, and how to get at it.

If it is like the polo (and I guess it is), the brake switch is up behind the brake pedal.  You need to get your head around the pedal position and look up towards the dashboard.  You should see it then (a plastic housing with a pushrod sticking out towards the brake pedal and an electrical connector going to it).  Twist it (can't remember whether this is to the left or the right) and it will come out.  Remove the electrical connector.  Fitting the replacement is obviously in the reverse order.  A 10 minute job at most).  Thanks.
