My Columbus system has been faultless for the past 5 years but recently the sat nav won't record any new locations in "last location". They appear to stay whilst the car is running but disappear when I next use the car. I've also noticed if I delete an entry it will disappear until the next time I use the car.

 

Anyone else seen or had this issue?

 

I've not upgraded the software or firmware for about 2 years, and it has the update to split the hd for music space. Unit reports it has disk space spare.

No doubt needs the internal flash memory deleting as it's been corrupted.

Tried to delete all last locations but they still came back! Any way to export my saved locations before I try a factory reset on navigation?

Factory reset won't help I doubt.

 

There's a possibility of saving the "Saved Locations" but not something you can do yourself unless you have the required software and hardware to access the systems base settings and save the user flash data.
