Reset Oil service, 2016 MY17 190 DSG L&K Kessy, varible service interval.

 

Different methods found on the net, many do not work on my car, but this one worked for me..

Sit in car, all doors closed, ignition off, footbrake off.

Press and hold trip reset button, press and release start button (kessy key in pocket)... do not press brake pedal, when display shows oil service reset release trip reset button, press start button to switch ignition off, start as normal. Check service staus and oil service should be reset.

 

I could not find any easy way to reset using VCDS.

I had this problem a few weeks ago.  I booked the car in for a service, only to be told that the leasing company wouldn't authorise it, as it wasn't due.  Apparently, the garage that serviced it last time, didn't reset it properly - it should have been on variable.

 

Anyway, the garage said the leasing company wouldn't let them reset it - I'm guessing there would be a charge - so told me to contact the leasing company, which I did.  They sent me the instructions, which worked.

Is the car still on variable servicing after doing the reset?

You can check in the infotainment system.
