Can someone confirm if the interior lights come on before you open the door when its dark ?

 

I'm sure they used to in in my S3.

 

If so can you tell me where you switch this on.

 

At present the lights only come on when a door is opened NOT when ignition is switched off.

If you have been driving, stop then turn the car off the interior lights dont come in mine until you open a door. 

Oh, thats looking like a down grade from the S2 - sure mine used to gradually come on after ignition off.

 

A mate of mine has my old S2 - I'll check

Got a feeling it changed between SII and SII FL - will check on my two when it is dark - though it could be a kessey thing

Look in the handbook under "Interior lights" -

Automatic operation of the light - switch  The top left switch by the mirror
The system is turned on when any of the following is present.
▶ The vehicle is unlocked.
▶ One of the doors is opened.
▶ The ignition key is removed  (I presume for Kessy  this will be "stopping the engine")

i'm pretty sure my interior lights turn on after i swtich off the ignition.
when a door is opened, the CH Lights turn on.

 

will confirm this in the evening.

I have kessy and my interior lights don't turn on when the ignition is switched off  - they only come on when I open the door. If there is an option anyone knows to change this I would be grateful.

This is literally correct for both my cars:

The car with the keys - lights come on of keys remogved

The car with kessey - no key so no lights - pushing the button does not switch on interior lights. Only the door

However, as I write this I wonder if I unlock the car from the inside, if the lights will come on

How did you get inside the car if you are unlocking it from the inside?
