2.0 PD DSG lumpy neutral?

Featured Replies

So I picked up my new (to me) 59 plate 2.0 PD DSG on Monday, and I'm pretty pleased with it. Only one small issue I've noticed so far...

If I'm waiting in traffic and I select neutral, sometimes the idle becomes noticeably lumpy... I I leave it in drive, it seems to be fine. Changing gear and taking up drive is no problem, no nasty noises from the DMF either as far as I can tell.

I see that lumpy idle is quite common, just seems a bit odd that it only happens in neutral?

My 1.9 TDI DSG has a very similar behaviour to this.

Will be interesting to see possible solutions

I have a feeling the answer will be "don't put it in neutral" :D
