Guys,

This is really bizarre. I was checking my owners manual to find out the bulbs type for my Skoda Octavia MK3, but couldn't find anything there. then I called to couple of skoda dealers and they were even not sure about it and was asking me to bring the car down to them to take it apart to find out.

so you guys are the only hope.

 

Please give me all the bulbs type for REAR and FRONT if anyone knows them correctly. it could be very useful to other people too. My car is Octavia Elegance (Hatchback) December 2013 1.6Tdi.

 

 

NB: I have taken the rear lamp off but couldn't figure out what bulbs is what? ..i can guess amber one is indicator, yellow circled one is reversing..what about others?

Blue circle will be brake light bulb & green circle will probably be the fog light bulb. 

@automass - turn it over, you'll probably find each bulb type stamped in to the plastic casing on the other side.

The picture was taken when reverse light bulb was changed..is there no one who knows exact type and name if the bulbs..

At a guess....

 

P21W - blue

P21W - yellow

PY21W - purple

H21W - green

Are you asking what function each has? Batvanvrs answered that for you in the first reply.

 

Indicator - purple

Brake - blue

Fog - green

So,which one is called tail light? 

I think there are normally two W5W bulbs that are used as the tail light, these are not included on the carrier you pictured. It might also use the brake/fog lamps at a reduced brightness.

 

 

If you want to check, go to your car, turn the tail lights on and see which illuminate

 

Thank you guys. I have figured out everything now. I've also changed my low beam head light bulbs with a road legal 5k halogen light bulbs which are xenon gas filled. they really give me nice white look which i like but i just need a matching h15 now.

Thats right..it is specified on the body.
