alarm siren

Both seem to be the same part number?

VCDS should tell you your current part number.

For example my FL has 1K8 951 605 B fitted which looks to have been superseded by 1K0 951 605 C, matching both the aliexpress links you posted.

Never had this problem before with any of my other Octavia’s

Most likely is the siren unit. Battery may have leaked and taken out pcb components. Mine in a mark 5 golf went at 6.5 years. I replaced mine last year in the oct 2 FL at 6 years. It was still operating though.

Exact same issue I had mate. The siren posted in your first link is the one I ordered. I guarantee replacing it will solve your problem. My mechanic mate did it for me and only charged me £30. Took less than an hour.

Do you know the procedure to replace it. Don't ffs pay over the odds to get it replaced. It really is a simple job. Hope you get it sorted mate we all need to protect our pride & joy eh.

I have fitted a new Siren to my car and although my alarm doesn't seem to go straight off now it is still going off after a few hours. Can anyone advise? and if I can use VCDS to find out alarm event activation can someone point me in the right direction of where to look?
My alarm is really becoming the bane in my life.

thanks for any help
