Which bluetooth headset...

Featured Replies

Any reccomendations for a bluetooth headset?

its mainly going to be used for skype on my laptop.

i see the sonyerricson hbh600 seems pretty cheap on ebay?

I've used a Jabra for ages without any problems, with a vast range of Nokia phones.

I've got the HBH Colin. Very good quality but not as comfortable as the Jabra ones I have used.

Have you got a way to connect to Skype with it?? I'd be interested.

I used a sony hbh for 2 years with no probs. Currently usinh a samsung, equally as good, but half the size. Expansys is a good site to get them from too.

I got a plantronics one.

Similar to the jabra's, but very cheap from Maplins (25 quid), call quality and battery life is great.

I use a motorola HS850, tiny thing, very comfy and I get a week out of it in the car between charges. I am very happy with it.

i've got a motorola h500, very small & discreet, works well, with good battery life

You Have PM

I hear Jabra is the daddy in the BT Headset world currently. Charges give over 100 hours standby etc plus very good quality and comfort.

As I didn't get a reply to my question above I did some research myself and can confirm I have the HBH660 working very well with Skype.

Shame nobody answered the Skype bit -perhaps because nobody's using one like that?

I bet you still look like one of the Borg with it plugged in though!

Phil

Does it include instructions on how to wear one walking down the street without looking like a pratt? ;)

Sorry only just caught up

it really depends on the bluetooth stack on your laptop/bluetooth dongle. EG the full widcomm one. which allows it to be used as a audio passthru.

then it should show up as a valid audio device when its plugged in.

I had to source the widcomm drivers which seem to be hard to find, I found several sites reprting that they had been told to remove them.

Also got a trial going on with some software that integrates with Skype.
