Next car recommendations

Looking for recommendations guys...

I currently have a 1.2 tsi fabia monte carlo 2013 (mk2), with low mileage and touch wood has been very economincal and reliable so far. Next year my PCP is due for renewal and I am paying £145 a month, that included 2 years servicing, MOT and warranty for 12 months.  

The problame is I really want something more exciting but still practical as I have children.

My last car was a leon fr tdi, mapped up to around 205bhp, before that I had a mini clubman cooper s (forgive me lol), again running around 200bhp. I dont do many miles (7000) so I think I will look for petrol again.  

So what would you recommend, bearing in mind I dont want to pay more than say £160 a month. I was contemplating getting something like an octavia mk2 vrs tfsi or even a leon mk2 fr tfsi. Budget would only be around £6000 though. If I take out another car on pcp it would be a budget of around £9,000, although its more, newer cars even at 3 or 4 years old are still expensive.
