Recently I have had a problem on my Superb with the number plate light pinging up a problem on the dash.  I get a message to check the bulb.  If i tap the boot lid it comes back on.  I have checked that the bulb is secure but I still get the error.

 

Could the problem be with the bulb holder rather than the bulb?

Try cleaning up and tightening the contacts for the bulb, holder and wiring connections
