key fob advice please

Featured Replies

Hello to all. I recently lost my key for the car. I have one on order from Skoda in York, it is costing £99-99 for the key and £50 to pay for the key to be programmed,

Question is...... If I was to obtain a used key and fob from a breaker can it be programmed to work on my 2013 Octavia?.

Thank you for reading this,

Best Regards to all, George.

Possibly, but unless you are on KESSY the key will not fit the ignition

Timpson's can probably cut the physical key. The certainly offered to cut a key for  Octy 2. Lost my keys cutting grass and they ended up going through the mower and on a very large compost heap. Spent 2 hours with a metal detector, found most of the bits but did not find the bit with the chip!
