my 2014 36k mk2  has failed the dreaded battery test  and my local dealer can replace it for only 280 ish , question where can i get the appropriate battery from and coded in to the car for a reasonable price ??

Eurocarparts have a 35% off this weekend inc Fri, put your reg No in and see what they have :-)

Ouch. From the price you mention it sounds like you need the Start/Stop system AGM battery?  Keep that in mind when looking at replacement quotes - there is a big difference in price between "normal" and "start stop" ones.

www.tanya.co.uk and www.batterymegastore.co.uk are usually amongst the best prices, with next day delivery.

Blimey the MKII batteries don't seem to last very long - my previous 2003 Superb I is still on it's original after 14 years and 200k miles

 

My 2014 facelift (Stop Start -only 1.4tsi though)  is still fine on it's original but I did lookup on www.tanya.co.uk  a while ago and n Exide AGM battery was £114

 

If I put my reg in eurocarparts it doesn't seem to list an AGM battery - I thought this was potentially dangerous as there is a danger of blowing the battery up (rapid regen charges)
