Driver seat.

Featured Replies

My car is a 2014 (64) ASG Elegance & I like the seat in its highest position, but I have noticed that it gradually lowers itself!  Am I missing a locking device, is it broken, or is this normal?  Comments welcome. Thanks.

I think it’s normal.

It’s certainly not normal, the seat should remain in its adjusted position until its readjusted again. My daughters Golf Plus has the same problem, her driver’s seat gradually lowers itself, but she’s learnt to live with it as the cost of the repair is not high on her priorities.  I have had VW and Skoda cars over the last 15 years, and i’ve Never experienced the problem myself.

I would suggest a chat  with your local Skoda specialist to enquire what the cost of repair is if you find it an inconvenience.

I have a late 2014 model Elegance and the seat height persists despite my 17 stone frame bearing down on it. :D

I just assumed it was normal as my parents Honda lowers itself too, but slowly.

Havent really noticed it too much in the Citigo but I think it does alittle. It doesn’t bother me though.

Thanks for replies. I'll just live with it, it is not a major problem. Dennis.
