Can anyone please help, I have a Roomster 1, 1.4TDI,  07 plate, 75000 miles, does it have a timing chain or belt? what are the intervals to change either?

1.4 TDI has a belt. Change intervals (I think) are 60k miles or 4 years, which ever comes soonest. It may be 80k miles, but in any event it's 4 years. If there's no record of the last documented change or you're at all unsure, best idea is to change it.

Timing belt, change every 4 years or 60,000 miles whichever comes first. I wrote a guide when I did my 1.9pd engine, it's in the Roomster Guides part, I'm pretty sure the 1.4 is very similar and being smaller has much more access.
