How low on 19’s?

Featured Replies

Looking at a set of 19’s for the car. Not sure yet whether to go staggered or not. Has anyone got a set of staggered 19’s on there car? 8.5 x 9.5 ?

If if so how low did you go with the car? Also did you go coils or just springs?

Two choices in wheels im looking at . . .

Nice choice of wheels,

I've noticed there isn't many coilover kits for the Octavia to make them price competitive. VW Golfs spoilt me with the range of suspension upgrades.

I am looking at custom suspension set up and noticed I may have to go larger from 18" to 19"
Didn't look into the widths as of yet. Do you have the FL Mk3 as they have a wider rear track which will effect widths for your rears.

Not aftermarket, but have the standard 19" Xtremes on my 230, with an Eibach Pro-Kit - sits nice and low without ruining ride comfort, and handling is massively improved.

Could do with wider rears / spacers, as you can see - but decent either way :)

Nice choice on the Bolas - I have a set favourited for when I have money again...

I was looking at BBS but I’m just not spending that money, as there is so many copy’s of them on the market most people wouldn’t know the difference.

What is FL? Mines the estate if that helps?

Oh also is the springs fine on the car? Not to bouncy? I’ve found it feels quite soft anyway so to firm it up a little would help

FL = Face-Lift (i.e. the 2017 model with the 'weird lights' ;))

I got Eibach Pro's fitted because the ride was not as controllable and felt 'wallowy' a lot of the time; the Eibachs massively improved handling and the general 'feel' of the ride. Definitely would recommend them if you're looking to firm up the ride.

Read what car you had in previous post.

No I hate the face lift, they destroyed the car with that lights, some genius idea that.

Ok sounds like that’s what I’m looking for. Here is my car as it is now

black pack, tints, full leather , couple good extras on the inside, I debadged it the other day aswell.

Is our diameter 55mm on the dampener ? Just before I order them springs.

I'll refer that to other more knowledgeable Brisky members; but if you check Eibach's website they'll provide the product number specific to your car. All the spring ratings and setups are listed.

Looking at debadging mine too and re-doing the Emblems front and rear with the Monte Carlo black circle and arrow, and white background.

De badging was easy as I’m sure you know, made a big difference to, looks soooo much better.

I went with H&R 40mm on mine mate and it’s perfect. Even fully loaded with box on. Those wheels look nice. If you want decent coil overs I know H&R do some and also vogtland. Vogtland are an absolute bargain tbh.

Just trying to figure if it’s worth the extra to go coils or not. It feels like sprigs would make enough of a difference but at the same time it wouldn’t be to hard

This is mine on 40mm H&R with 19’s on 235/35/19..
