MK 3 BT connection failure Bolero 1

Featured Replies

 Guys

I have octavia mk3 with infotainment Bolero1, software version 0435. I have a Bluetooth connection failure with phone and media every 2 mins, ot disconnects and reconnect . I have Changed my mobile and same issue occurred. devices are HTC M9 and Huawei P10.

Tried to reset to factory settings and restart both devices with no luck.

Any of you aware of recent software update can fix it.

It is really frustrating

Any clue?

i was able to connect using BT on bolero MIB1 0435 and also after the update 0490 with no issues samsung S8.

It wouldn't do any harm to update and there's a chance it would fix your issues.

The only way to tell if yours is faulty would be find another MK3 with MIB1 unit and try to connect one of your devices.

ive sent you a link

Got the same problem,2016 Octavia TSI, Bolero unit, BT only works with the 2017 Nokia 3310, , contacted Skoda uk, allegedly the unit is set to bluetooth 4.0, most modern phones work on bluetooth 4.2 ,even went to the local dealers yesterday, where they spent a good hour and a half trying to no avail, they contacted Skoda directly, there could be an update shortly, so in the meantime, most of the Skoda compatibility list is useless

I'd be amazed if Skoda ever issue an update to fix Bluetooth connection problems. But please post on here to let us all know if they do.

I turned off the contacts sharing and it worked well for media and phone.

Now i can use both but the phone book is not accessible from the infotainment system.

Which is enough for me since the num pad is working.

Might be the large number of contacts exceeding the bolero capacity

Weong data

Got a brand new HTC M9 now working fine, even with contacts, and messages, I checked with HTC first, and they said the M9 runs on bluetooth 4.0, skoda even said, check the compatibility list and the M9 was on it, made sure it was also comparable with smart link for future reference

But when I checked the compatibility list i didnt find he M9 in it. What is your model

Just to put it out there, mine is running software 0490 and I have an iPhone 7 Plus and it works faultlessly with all calls, contacts and music with no issues having ever arisen.

Bolero 2016, on the compatibility list scroll down, the ONE  M9 is there

Exactly the same here - and from iOS 11 onwards it shows contact photos on favourites too.

I think my issue is related to the number of contacts which exceeds the device capacity. I have Over 2000k before smart merge done by the android.

I have recently bought a 2016 Octavia 1.4TSI with Bolero and using an I phone SE.It connects fine when I put the key in the ignition but will disconnect randomly when driving along. The only way to reconnect is to stop the car remove the key and then put it back in to reconnect. This is rather frustrating. Surely there must be a solution?
