Might try Eco mode to see if I can squeeze out more mpg in this cold weather. Got my night shift commute coming up this week.

I tried them all and it stays in Sport now. Seems to suit my driving style better and I prefer the steering. I get the best economy in sport too... Eco was the worst, although the car felt so dopey it only lasted a week.

I must admit my 1.6tdi DSG, when its in sports mode, it won't change up until it's at circa 4,000rpm and it sounds awful, it's like it's screaming it's ass off. Can't see the point, I tried it tonight coming home and I've had to revert back to Eco mode, far smoother and peaceful :D

Completely acceptable on a 1.6.

A VRS however should be sport mode all the time lol

Day to day commuting - town and narrow country roads, over 50 miles, mine stays in Eco mode,  but any long distance driving - i.e. out of town, I switch to Normal mode.  Sports mode if I'm feeling like it.

Basically the one that has the heaviest & least assisted setting. Makes me feel like I have more control of the car. I have driven a few modern cars that have super light steering & I hate it, also because electric assistance gives much less feel which adds more to the vagueness compared to hydraulic only setups which I always found more communicative .
