Dirty Headlights, but inside

Featured Replies

Any ideas how/if I can clean the inside of the headlights?

Car is out of warranty

Most likely with the traditional, time consuming and risky method of removing the headlight from the car, baking it, opening, cleaning, applying new seal, baking it again and reinstalling.

-- that does look horrid - how can it have become like that? Was the car ever crashed or something?

I’d still be going back to the dealer and trying to claim under warranty - that should not happen to headlights on a car at max 4 years old.

Car has not been crashed and both are the same. Have photos from Dec 15 when they were similar but not as bad.

It looks like the residue left behind after condensation has dried.

A quick question, can that thing be taken care by Headlight Restoration procedure done at car saloons like 3M?

Not if it's on the inside as above it looks like dried condensation.  The headlight restoration kits are for the external side of the headlamp.

Thank You. Last query, the condensation in our Superb is happening every night irrespective of the weather and by the morning it dries up completely. Since the dealer and Skoda won't do anything about it so is there anything that we can do to prevent that thing?
