Mudflaps for FL vRS Estate

Featured Replies

I've decided I'm going to fit Genuine Skoda mudflaps on my FL vRS Estate.

I think these are the 1s to fit my car:

Front... http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-front-mudflaps-original-Skoda-autoas

Rear... http://www.superskoda.com/Skoda/OCTAVIA-III/Octavia-III-17-Facelift-rear-mudflaps-original-Skoda-autoas

I know they say not for vRS, but seeing others on here, I know they fit.

Has anyone any advice?

Will keep the car cleaner but will spoil the look.

In my opinion of course.

I can deal with it, and the cars I've seen with them I actually quiet like! Where I live is semi-rural, single track muddy lanes.

I get that. I’m in North Somerset with a white car.

Mud and cow sh*te everywhere, so one journey after a wash & the flanks are filthy!

The mudflaps for the Pre-facelift were not supposedly for the VRS, but plenty fitted them with no issues.

I'd definitely have them, doesn't detract from the looks too much and helps massively with dirt being flicked up. I've also had less stone chips up the sides of the car too since fitting mine.

Stop! Don't buy those rear ones for the facelift vrs, they don't fit - the underneath screw hole is in the wrong position. I know I bought a set from superskoda, then had to order the non-fl version as they fit (I know sounds crazy!)

Thanks, so non-FL rears!

Definitely mate. Can take pics tomorrow if required. I've still got the FL rears (need to sell them!)  The FL part number for rears has got A at the end, you need part number 5E0 075 101 with no A at the end, these will fit

I will be fitting them to mine tomorrow after I pick it up from the dealers. If I don't like the look of them I can always take them off again.

Anyone got a fitted pic? My fl is black and the back bumper is heavily rashed after 3000 mile.

Ordered these, not much difference, but a little cheaper and hopefully faster! :)

Do I need a fitting guide or is it relatively simple?

They come with instructions in the pack. Only had a quick look. Basically remove existing screws on wheel arch where mud flap is going then use these to fix the mud flaps on. Think the front need a 6mm hole into the wheel arch liner. Didn't get a chance to fit mine today. Lashing rain all day as soon as I picked up my car.

By the time I actually got the car this afternoon it was dark and persistently raining. I haven't even seen it myself yet. Hopefully the weather is better tomorrow and I'll get some photos. I have some photos when I was getting a Ceramic Coating put on it.

Are these confirmed as fitting the Mk3 vRS estate? I need some as soon as :)

They fit mine:

20170315_211936.thumb.jpg.02e93611c8a731220b96475c4b8f2bee.jpg

Rear done. 2 x T20 Torx screws to remove and 1x plastic Plug/clip. If you have a small ratchet you should be able to do it easy. I don't. So I just gripped the T20 Torx bit at 90° with a pair of pliers to undo the screw a bit then undo with fingers. No need to take wheel off. Front next when it stops raining.

My only concern at the moment is that the instructions show 2 plastic chassis covers under the car. I only have one. The one under the exhaust is not there. This is what the plastic plug/clip attaches to. So mine is just into the fabric wheel arch liner which seems a bit crap. The whole rear bumper on that side just moved around too much in my opinion. Does anyone have 2 or is it just 1 fitted???

Front ones fitted. Full right hand lock to do right mud flap gives you enough space to do the screws and drill your 6mm hole into the plastic wheel arch liner. Opposite for left hand mud flap.
