Well Octy completed one year and 26899 miles under my ownership today. Overall it's been a happy 12 months and mostly trouble-free. After a few initial problems (a coil pack - unusual on my engine type - and a stripped water pump) it's been very reliable too, and cheap to run and maintain. Thumbs up, Skoda

I've been generally pleased with the customer service at my local dealers, Fish Bros in Swindon, and I continue to be entertained by the car.

Warranty has run out too so I can mention (as if you didn't know) -

Mods so far: Jabbasport remap, Forge DV, VRS springs and shocks, and custom intercooler vent :p. Next up might be a catback exhaust, a CAI, or some new speakers, or ... who knows?!

Things I like:

1. The engine

2. The engine

3. The build quality

4. The grin factor (see 1. and 2.)

5. The stealth aspect

6. The load capacity

8. The fuel economy

8. Briskoda for all the support and banter

9. Did I mention the engine?

Things that niggle slightly:

1. The lack of a rear screen wiper

2. The incredibly hard seats

3. The rearward visibility

4. The unavailability of cruise

I want to say a big thanks to all here on Briskoda for the camaraderie, support, technical advice and general friendship I have experienced. Here's to the next year! :cheers:

My car is now close to 2 1/2 years in my hands now, and it's a miracle its still going as well as it is.

Nick , we gather you like the engine .................now , perhaps before any more mods ...........some new tyres .........they can't last forever ...can they ?
