Edition ordered!

Featured Replies

I took an Ateca out for a test drive last weekend and a Karoq today. I must say the Ateca does handle slightly better but the practicality of the Karoq and the nicer cabin swung it for me.

I took my mountain bike to the dealer and tried it for size and it fits upright easily. I’m going to make a fork mount bar in the boot to hold it.

I’ve gone for a 1.5 DSG Edition in quartz grey with the assistance pack, heated windscreen, heated steering wheel and space saver spare wheel.

The full size spare robs a lot of boot space and has a big step down in the floor when you take the back seats out. I guess the space saver will still have a small step.

Dealer thinks late March or early April for delivery.

Looking forward to coming back to a VAG car, my last 2 have been Qashqai’s. The Karoq drives so much better even though they are both on 19” wheels.

Congrats. Ordered pretty much the same car for the Mrs last night only in black.

Very impressed with the overall package.

Me too.  We will now be a two Skoda family - Karoq + Superb.

Kitten and I have a Yeti and a Rooster.

We want to Karoq Edition and will PX the Yeti to get it.

My spec............

1.5TSi engine with DSG

Petrol Blue metalic

beige leather seats

9.2 infotainment system

Park assist

Can't wait B)

I like the look of the beige leather but I go hiking and mountain biking so muddy clothes and bikes would wreck it.

Black leather interior is great for me and it wipes clean!

Ordered my Edition on 20th January, 1.5 TSI, DSG, Business Grey, with heated steering wheel, auto assist, park assist and Canton Sound System. Was told it should be here in April. I'm hoping it has the underside/under wheel-arches black plastic protection because I've seen photos of a 4-day Ateca (built by Skoda for SEAT in the same factory) that are quite scary: https://www.atecaforums.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=946

It would be interesting to know of all those who have their karoq now, how many have this problem with the rear door and arches, and what model they have.

This is info I received back from Skoda UK a while ago when I enquired about the wide wheel arches which I believe come with the black trim:

  • The Additional Body Cover on wheel arch and side sill is not standard on KAROQ SE L.
  • The Additional Body Cover on wheel arch and side sill is only available on KAROQ SE L petrol engines when the 19” Crater alloy wheels are selected, the price of which is included in the alloy wheel.
  • The Additional Body Cover on wheel arch and side sill cannot be ordered as an option on its own.
  • The Additional Body Cover on wheel arch and side sill cannot be ordered on KAROQ SE L diesel engines.
  • The Additional Body Cover on wheel arch and side sill is standard on Edition 1.5 TSI engines.
  • The Additional Body Cover on wheel arch and side sill is not standard or available as an option on Edition diesel engines.

In response to Karmans quote, I have an Edition (4x4) so it doesn't have the plastic protectors. I've cleaned it 2 or 3 times and I haven't seen anything like the pictures on the Ateca link. Construction of the Karoq door seems different to the Ateca in that the trim on the outside of the door doesn't return as far up the inside of the door and when the door is closed, the trim closes against a rubber seal that's set into the sill. There's also a seal running down the wheel arch. We haven't done that many miles but we have been out in snow and rain and don't consider that we have a problem.

Hi Bowdie,

Thanks for that, it’s a relief to know it’s not a problem.
