How are you finding the strut brace Tom?

Feels better with it on :D - Handles well with it being lowered too - Stiffened ride.

Those wheels suit the car so well.

Did you go with a stage 1 map?

Thanks :)

I went Stock - Stage 2 around 330hp/520nm

You fitted the new Pads and Disc's yet?

Yup, all done, new brake fluid too. Front pads are loose though making a noise over bumps. Got to inspect

Update - Front pads are great at stopping but they don't fit well and move about vertically and over even small bumps they rattle - hugely annoying.

Switched them out yesterday and put in ebc redstuff - Returning the Ferodos.

Also finally dyno'd at JBS and made 307hp/389ftlb for a Stage 2 Shark P map - low hp results - Some people have said JBS have more accurate rollers and usually dyno with lower results than other tuners due to this.

It's quick so I'm fine :P

What point are you jacking up on there Tom?

I've been jacking mine up on one of the big front subframe mounting bolts to avoid damaging the sills.

Which strut brace did you buy in the end?  I had a quick look through the thread but couldn't find a link or photo.  Cheers!

Little triangle on sill I think advises where underneath - Not had any issues with it :)

Look on ebay.ru for strut brace -£100ish once postage and import paid for

Interesting, cheers!  When you're next under there check whether the paint and underseal on the sills is intact.  My understanding is that those points are fine for 4-post lifts as the car is raised evenly (straight up) but a jack raises the car an angle (upwards and slightly outwards) which places a sideways force on the sills which they're not designed to withstand.

My S4 had the same narrow sills and jacking points.  I bought some special slotted rubber jack pads from the US to solve the problem, where the slot width and depth were specific to the car.  Something like this:

I can't find anything similar for the Octavia yet sadly.

Cheers for the tip on the strut brace too!
