LED (AFS) headlights condensation on Octavia III facelift

Featured Replies

I've had this with my last 3 cars, and a Passat years ago, admittedly with halogen headlights. All were "cured" by me. Simply involved removing a bulb and carefully warming everything up with a borrowed hair dryer. The condensation never returned to any of them. Strange but true. 🤨

That looks pretty excessive and I'd be looking at pushing for warranty replacements. Assume your facelift is still under warranty?

yes it is indeed, I do have an appointment next week to get it replaced in warranty, just confirmed this morning.

Some people are so quick to judge! I have a tad now and again in wetter weather and treat it as normal but these pictures are something else. Been testing out the wading depth?

Sad to say that the nearside one on my vRS which was replaced under warranty (both have been replaced under warranty) is now showing the issue again, car is now out of warranty by almost a year and this starts again.

Disappointed that this is an issue again, both of our other cars have LED headlights without any issues (2017 BMW Mini Cooper S Clubman and 2018 Abarth 124 Spider) if they can both design a headlight that is LED and can cope with the UK weather why can't the Skoda?

Does anyone have access to the TPI that was issued for this issue?

Also does anyone have access to a parts catalogue to see if they have every released a newer revision of LED Headlamp?
