An electric Harley Davidson

Featured Replies

The range is crap but, actually I quite like that.

I'd consider an electric bike to commute on if it had the range and performance.

The only point to a Hardly Ableson is the exhaust noise isn't it?

'leccy one might be more reliable

If electric vehicles tend to be 25% more than internal combustion engined ones then a Hog will create a singularity which would suck the rest of the world in to it.

*the towns folks awoke early that morning, to the distance sound of whirring... "whats thats strange hum?" they asked each other.

At about 1pm, the answer came... rolling slowly, with their solar panel trailers bouncing gently on the undulating road, towed by the trikes, cables dangling loosely like foreboding chains, linking the 2 wheelers to their supply....

The hum grew more annoying than louder as they arrived ..

"Oh $%/7!!" Cried the sheriff's deputy, "its the DC Demons, the fiercest ecofriendly biker gang in the nation!"

Theres actually more discussion i the comments under that elektrek article about noise pollution from bikes than there is about the HD bike :D

HD corporatised and massively profited from the pollution .

I'm thinking that any "legal noise level" would have to consider the actual noise levels allowed for motor sports venues and there are precious few if any road usable vehicles that break those.

Ahhh... but roads are open 24/7.

Where as motor sport facilities generally have a noise curfew... so using that as part of the limiting factor is a bit... unrealistic?

Road going vehicles with a MOT have been refused track time many times where i have been at scrutineering at events.

At offroad events as well like Comp Safaris.

"Quiet" and "Harley" are two words I never thought I would see used together 😁

Well if it was broken down by the side of the road it would qualify for both.:D

And while yer at the merge, @john999boy, shove it into the electric car sub?

Yep, sounds logical.

A slight delay as it's always easier to do it on a computer but:-
