Retrofit multi-function buttons on Octavia SE MY16 Steering Wheel

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone

I'm about to buy a Octavia Estate 1,4 TSi SE DSG MY16 - The trim level is called a 'Style' in Denmark but I believe it's equivalent to the SE in the UK and it has Bolero radio, start/stop, heated seats, dual zone climate control and cruise control which was all standard equipment for the 'Style' trim level in Denmark on MY16. However it doesn't have MFSW which is a must have for me.

Original buttons and wiring are relatively cheap and I have been told that the Style trim level should have a 'High CAN Gateway' and therefore retrofitting multi-function buttons should be plug and play without any coding needed.

Can anyone confirm or disconfirm that 1) It should have a High CAN Gateway and 2) whether its really plug and play (no coding)?

Many thanks in advance...

Simon

Think it will need coding, just basic stuff to tell the car that steering wheel controls are fitted.

Simon_DK...

Jeg har lige idag monteret mfsw i min octavia fra 2016, det er også en style men dog kun med swing radio. Det virkede som det skulle efter montering og uden kodning☺️

Min har highline gateway, så måske derfor?

Held og lykke med det.
