Kid's seats query

Featured Replies

Hi - looking at downsizing from our SMax.

Need a car that can accommodate 2 x high back boosters, and 1 booster (just a base) across the back seats.

Will an Octavia copy with this? Need to be able to access seat belts & buckles etc when seats in place.  Cheers

I guess it depends on the big booster seats width. I've got one of these and if I had 2 in back don't think it would be much room for a centre one. Might be wrong though. Sorry not much help. Have a nice day anyway!

I don't think that Octavia back seat can match S-Max. Totally different segment.

It is possible to put 2 seats and 1 booster, but it will be all squeezed, not really for a longer journeys. Maybe there is a setup which can be possible, but not with every seat. You need to try and see for yourself - and please do it before you give away your money to the dealer. :)

I have 3 car seats in the rear. Totally possible. Just get the slimmer seats

I think the word you're looking for is fat.

I've got a britax romer 2 XP SICT installed on isofix and have had two adults in the back too. Bit of a fiddle for the middle buckle clip but doable. As people have said, try it out beforehand!

We've used a 'Bubblebum' https://www.bubblebum.co in the past for getting an adult and full reverse baby seat and 5yr old in the back - but i probably would suggest it for frequent use.

I think that you will struggle to get two high backed seats and a booster seat in the rear of an Octavia.

This is what it's like in the rear of mine (excuse the quality of the photos but it's the reflection of the snow).

There's an Oct vRS a few streets down from us. Will knock on their door & see if I can try with the seats we have. Think our high back are a little smaller than DaveLees' one (thanks for the pics) so it *might* work - will post findings :)

I always go for seats that are slim. Typically 17 or 18 inch at its widest.

Clek fllo, scenera next, maxi Cosi rodi air protect, are what I have now

I see you're in Reading, I'm in Thatcham and have a new Octavia coming on 3rd March, you're welcome to try on mine if you like?

Alternatively I have two "Graco Affix High Back Booster Car Seat without harness" group 2-3 seats, one in each car. I can fit both and post a picture here.

I have a high back booster one side and a baby seat the other. My 9 year old daughter then sits inbetween and she is fine. The booster is pretty slim and the daughter is now tall enough that she doesn't need to sit on a booster. Over 135cm

I currently Drive a polo and have a 4 year old front facing  and a 6 month old (rear facing) and we can fit booster seat between them (a squeeze though) so I can imagine a Octavia should be fine?
