Don't forget you'll need some decent springs/dampers and atleast a 312mm setup (Brembro setup recommended).

Still 255 bhp in a vRS would be awesome. Not sure how much of the power it would be able to us though below 60 mph, not sure the chassis is designed to cope with that kind of power.

Yep - realistic too. :)

Of their mods listed I'm already running their VNT hybrid and intercooler system. And to a point I do have a modded exhaust. And I'm pushing 221bhp. (I guess that puts me around Phase 3 area) With their £975 PD injectors I would hope to be circa 240. Should allow a better quality rate of injection and the boost to be upped as well. :) Not sure what would be needed for 255bhp and their full phase 4 gear - seems to be an extra 2k I'd need to spend somewhere.

Not sure what benefits the exhaust temp guage has? I have a boost guage but the one they show appears to be more complicated. I use my boost guage purely for observational purposes to monitor the boost as the car accelerates. :)

My current plan does not involve uprating the injectors, mainly as it's yet another non-standard part and they're harder to revert back to standard than exhaust, turbo etc.

No clue what mine will be pushing but based on Jason's mods/mods I've got on my list it should hit 200 whp without too much hassle I'd imagine :D

But I've not even come close to 200whp yet. :( The injectors should push me over that though. I'm only @ 190whp.

This is their TDI page. :)

Apparently injectors mean removing the cam cover. Sounds like an easy job but not one I'd wish to do myself.

I'll post my results soon ;)

My guess is the 250+ figures are with LPG conversion / NOS :) Pretty awesome from a 1.9 diesel block though

Get on! Get 'em UP 'ERE! :D And if you've pipped 221, you're in trouble. :P :)

Jason if I'm right the EGT is to messure how hot the exhaust gases are when leaving the turbo. They gone on about this over on TDI CLUB. Thats the only real advantage of an exhaust systems as this helps to lower the temps. Think you can log the temps with vag-com.

They list a VT7 turbo which is listed upto 300bhp. Just need the injectors to go with it. What are the allard injectors rated too?

The injectors aren't really rated on their own as it needs all the other gubbins to aid them. I saw that VT7 turbo as well. Did fancy asking them what they'd do the VT7 for, if I exchanged them my barely used VNT20. :D

and I can beet all that tuning with my car and its Ultimate Deisel :P

Speak to Mr Blackmagic on them, he negociated some cracking deals:thumbup:

Wonder if I can do just a straight swap then? Doubt I have those kind of negotation skills though.

Anyway, until I get another job spending is totally £0.00 at the moment, apart from diesel. :)

@Jason - whoops I though it was whp :o

Either way 190 whp is still very pleasant :D :D

If it's not too hard to alter I suppose it's worth it at some point, will start off with the hybrid. FMIC, BF exhaust system...

I've got no idea how much power I'll end up with, but it will be interesting to find out how well it behaves on the road post-fitting all the gear to the car :)

I don't see FMIC anywhere in your sig though! :P :D

Did someone call.

Mild tune, std injectors 246.3 bhp. LPG you just can't beat it.

VTN 7 sounds nice ;)

Still have 15% lpg injection to crank in but want to do it over a long period ( Have cracked the 200 WHP though)

Cost a lot but development always does.

Going into miseable old git mode here (as always) but it's interesting that the first 'upto' 55bhp costs less than £500, but the next 'upto'10bhp costs more than double the initial investment, and as we go upwards on the scale we get into a steep nosedive in £ per BHP.

Phase 1 upto 195 b.h.p. £425.00

Phase 2 “ 205 b.h.p. £1065.00

Phase 3 “ 224 b.h.p. £2160.00

Phase 4 “ 255 b.h.p. £5073.00

Sorry but you could get a much better car for the sort of money the Phase 4 will cost on top of the Furby's original cost and the other mods you would need IMO.

Definitely true - it's not a sensible investment, but as long as you are aware of that it's not a problem IMHO.

There are people who buy a pretty old car and then spend 10k on improving it, sometimes with good results, other times not quite so :D

I reckon I've spent a fairly indiscrete amount of money on the car (budgetting in the Quaife etc) and it will be interesting to know if it's going to enhance my driving enjoyment by quite that much.

@Jason - FMIC is in the sig (under 'done:' ) & more importantly, it's been on the car for a bit now

Hybrid + Blueflame full system will go on during the 17th of March, weather, availability & holiday approval permitting

The LSD will help significantly with keeping the power in a fairly controllable movement when making progress. Won't need it most of the time as I behave but at times I don't want to behave and I feel it would help me there :)

@BeezerDiesel - don't think you're being miserable though, there are more cost-effective ways of getting a performance car but for me/SWMBO we bought the car based on our requirements at the time and I'm stuck with it (in the nicest possible way) so just having a bit of OTT fun spending on it I suppose. As there is a good chance I'll end up with a WW jr of some description in the next few years (@the most) a new car won't be happening for a bit yet anyway.

For a few hundred quid and a bit of DIY on the wheel arch you'd get the best value for money without CELL light I'd imagine, beyond that the sky is the limit
