Leather Bottle mini-meet

Well you'd have to go back a long way but I think you'd find somewhere, an equally polite opinion of mine regarding the other claque. Personally I find all this kind of personal in-fighting only serves to put me OFF the tuners concerned.

You mentioned VAGCOM plots a while back, and seemed to be of the opinion that posting them was detrimental to the reputation of the tuner concerned. I'm not sure I follow the logic of constant punning on the name of a tuner with no figures to back it up. Yes we know you, Des, DaveU and some others are customers of Impossible Performance, but nobody, as far as I am aware, has ever seen a dyno plot from one of your cars. So we're supposed to believe that because you mention their name a lot, Impossible are the best tuners? To me, that is exactly the same as posting endless figures, self-defeating.

Maybe we should take this discussion offline so we don't upset other forum users. It's certainly something that should be cleared up - no personal malice was intended in my first post, just the intention of provoking thought.

Nothing I have said or done has prevented you from expressing your opinion, as your two previous posts show. Neither have I asked you do do anything. I just expressed an opinion that you collectively (not you, Gerry) were taking the p*ss slightly. It's not in my power to ask you such a thing, especially when a more senior mod than me is one of your little group of wind-up merchants (and he's probably the world champion :) )

Edit: here's a thread with the odd post from me looking at it from the other side.

Oh how dare you talk about Dave like this. You are talking about Dave aren't you, only you mentioned a more senior IP customer, that must be Dave.

Anyway you two, give it a rest. It's just a laugh!!!!!!

Something that's in short supply around here.

Yes boss :P

I'm not saying anything. ;)

As for Senor Dave...must be the moustache.

Were there any Impossibly performing cars at the Leather Bottle btw? I meant to go, but forgot it was on, and went to work in the wrong car. Hope to make the next one.

I couldn't go....but will try for the next one....mind you I'll have a lot of free time on my hands from the end of the month.:(

There were a few but as usual the personalties of those who attended over shadowed the cars.

Being dark doesn't help - roll on some sunnier weather and maybe the odd (dare I suggest) track day .... :rubchin:

Nor does being wet when running silly power.

Was it wet? Not here ...

Nick,

No offence was taken by me, just my expressiing my thoughts, just as you did.

I have to question one thing though, and that is how you can say just one of our little group is a wind up merchant??

Why pick out only one.......:P

In answer to your question there were three IP powered cars there, and if your there next time your quite welcome to drive mine, that way you can form your own opinion, as did Si, who was in mine as was very impressed.

Was it wet? Not here ...

The only wet bit was in Si's Pants after a ride out in Gerry's car. :D

The Impossible thing was a follow on from the night before Nick, which you unfortuantely missed this time. One of those silly private joke moments that only those who know really understand :P
