Dieselgeek Shifter effect on Warranty?

Featured Replies

I was just wondering what is the "official party line" regarding Skoda's warranty if I fit a DG short shifter kit to my new Vrs?

I know that dealers vary in their reaction, but it would be good to know if this is a bad idea before "heading down the primrose path" to a fully modded Vrs!

Thanks,

It's not a Skoda part so it will kill the warrenty as will any mod be it remap or bigger brakes.

Just depends on what your dealer is like and if Skoda UK as questions.

It's not exactly obvious, but I assume it would invalidate the gearbox/drivetrain part of the warranty.

Couple that with a remap which invalidates the engine and big brakes/suspension which invalidates the brakes & suspension on your car and you've basically got a NO USE WARRANTY.
