Bluetooth Music Pauses on Amundsen from Android

My Amundsen on my 2016 Octavia has suddenly starting behaving oddly when streaming music over Bluetooth from my Android mobile.  About 1 second into each track the Amundsen is muted/paused.  If I unmute, or increase the volume the music resumes.  While in this paused/muted state, the music continues on my mobile.

My phone is an HTC10, and recently upgraded to Android Oreo (8.0 and considered to be buggy).  The app I'm streaming from is Tidal.

I can Bluetooth to a speaker in the house from my phone without issue.

I can stream to the car from the Google Play Music app without issue.

I have disconnected and re-paired the phone.

I have reset the Bluetooth settings in the car.

Any thoughts or suggestions anyone?
