Any one been offered Karoq edition

Featured Replies

I've been offered 3 karoq edition Emerald green Velvet red Quartz grey metallic no 3 months wait heated windscreen spare wheel £200.oo of free Accessories plus small discount what do you think

I think you're onto a winner!!

Go for it. :)

I wanted a few extras so no chance of me getting the spec I want without waiting.

If the spec is to you liking go for it, but try for atleast a medium-discount:biggrin:.

Push hard for all you can get. My 2.0l diesel 4x4 Edition was a launch car with extras of Active Cruise Control, heated front screen and tow bar prep. It had a ticket price of £32.2k and 5 miles on the clock. On initial discussion that was reduced to £30k without ant discussion. I then I happened to find the same car (1000 miles on the clock, and less useful extras) at another branch in the same group at £28k. When I pointed this out I was initially told they could sell me that car, but then they came back and said I could have their one and at the same price. Win/Win for me as I got the car with extras I wanted but at the lowest price. I then managed to get the roof bars included as well.

I suspect they wanted rid of the diesel out of the showroom as the sweet spot in the range is going to be the 150bhp petrol, but I need the diesel/4x4/DSG to give the best match (in terms of both weight and torque) for towing my caravan.

But as my wife says 'If you don't ask you don't get'......

Hi John,

I got just about the exact same deal on my Karoq - ACC, heated screen, tow bar prep, 1700 miles for a tad over £27k. Got the Protection Pack half price (still expensive for what it is). So there are deals to be done, it's just a matter of being in the right place at the right time I guess. I don't think I would ever be bothered to wait long for any car, as eventually there is such a glut of cars on most dealers forecourts, wether it be Range Rovers, Porsche, Aston Martin, Skoda or whatever. If you see something that fits the bill, buy it, drive it, and enjoy.

That's a good buy as well George. Spare wheels are hard to come by at the moment, unless they are sent out direct from the factory. Did you manage to get the front mud flaps with your Protection Pack? Still waiting for mine.

I bought mine through Carwow and the dealers keep sending through revised offers. Latest is £25750 for a 1.5 DSG edition with assistance pack, heated screen and spare wheel.

£3400 off list price including the £1500 finance deposit. £600 less than I paid 2 months ago

Can highly recommend Carwow for a haggle free purchase.

I was so close to adding Canton but the normal system sounded ok when I cranked it up. Hope I dont regret not having it!

Because I live in Scotland and it hardly ever freezes here, I was a skinflint I didn't order the heated front screen and washer nozzles. It does say on page 79 of the online owner manual that the washer nozzles are heated anyway when the engine is running and the temperature is below 10 deg C. Can anyone confirm that?

I was told by the salesman the headlamp washers are heated but no mention of the screen washers so I don’t really know, but the washer bottle is behind the rad like my Leon and I have never had any trouble with them freezing up.

As long as you use an appropriate screenwash at an appropriate solution for the weather you should be fine.

Unless they've changed the design, it's only the nozzle that is heated, not the bottle or tubing  leading to the nozzle.  If the screenwash freezes in the bottle or tubing it won't matter how hot  the nozzle is, the screenwash ain't coming out.

The same applies to the headlamp washers, there are numerous threads in other sections about the headlamp nozzle staying out due to the screenwash freezing, and even the colour coded plastic cover being blown out or ejected because of this.
