First hiccup

Featured Replies

Well everybody first month down and 3250km I'm later I've had my first , actually 2nd upset.

1st very minor, had to replace a spotlight bulb.

2nd godddamn annoying picked up a stone in the front passenger brake shield after negotiating some tar and chip pothole repairs 2 days later it was still there squealing away, had to dismantle the caliper an remove the disc to get the f@#ker out,not that much of an ordeal but I just had a hernia operation last tuesday ,and I'm far to cheap to go to a stealer for something like that and small man was at school and I don't have any mechanically inclined mates.

Sitting down now eating a bag of sweeties and nursing a groin ache..............

For point 1, you should have had this replaced FOC as any problems and defects (incl bulbs) are covered in the 6.5k miles/6 months 'snagging period'.

For point 2, could you not have called Skoda Assist?  I had a very loud screeching from my rear brake on my Octy vRS, along with an asbestos like smell.  I thought it was a seized calliper; I called Skoda Assist and the guy removed a piece of metal from between the rotor and the rotor shield.  He removed the wheel and had it sorted in less than 10 mins.

P.S - Get well soon.

Puzzled as the O3 doesn't have spotlights? Do you mean foglight?

Okay Pedantic Pat,foglights.

Would have nearly cost me as much as the bulb to drive to the dealer.

Skoda assist ,never even heard of him, must be a UK thing.

But probably the real reason, sidelined for 6days so far and unfortunately I don't know how to do stop, still crazy/cabin fever are not descriptive enough !!!
