Skoda Rapid 'Swing Radio' Possible Option To Change

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I  am looking into changing our existing radio-  'SWING'  from our 14 plate spaceback. Firstly i want to keep a skoda unit. Secondly i am not bothered about Satnav. So what would be the best unit? I think its the Bolero? Is this correct? I have looked at some from eBay but they come from an Octavia or yetis are these compatible?

Will it work with the BT Audio, Maxi dot  display and the steering wheel controls and parking sensors?

Do you have to get any specific parts-fascia-cables? Do you need to do anything with regards to VCDS?

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Ian

2014 came with,in ascending order,  Blues, Swing or Amundsen+

The Bolero is a 2015-on fit as part of the facelift.  You need to ask in the Brisky ICE section about it's suitability but I am not certain those more modern HU are backward compatible.
