Abs light appears

Featured Replies

Hi to all,

So i have an issue with airbag warning light in my skoda octavia 1.9tdi mk 2 (2009). It appears.

Problem :- when i start my car all warning light appears and go but air bag light appears again and stay until i off the ignition.

Cause of problem:-

(1) the day i notice this problem. The same day i had done some repairs work in air conditioning blower which place under the dashboard nondriver side. So may be this is the couse of problem.

(2) had an issue with headlight low beam so after cheaking fuse and pulling out and insert again fuse's, so headlight problem got fix.

So both 1and 2 are done in same day and wile coming back to home i notice that warning light,  i thought its may be an seatbelt warning light but after checking on drvie manual book i find it is a air bag warning light. I wear seatbelt but it still appears

So guys please tell me how can i fix it.

Thank you.

I suspect you unplugged the yellow abs connector behind the glove box, it needs to be reset with VCDS.

Did you push the passenger seat back hard and fast when you were accessing the blower?

If so you may have interfered with side impact airbag sensor connector....

Check under passenger seat beside seat rail on the floor, you will see a square piece of carpet cut out, flick it up to reveal the connector.. Wiggle it about and make sure it's tight... Then you will need to erase code on OBDII or VCDS...
